New Horizon Park

In light of the recent announcement of the Universal Studios theme park in Bedford, it’s clear that the vision for Horizon Park must be reconsidered and reimagined. We believe there is no longer a need for a large-scale, all-encompassing attraction. However, a unique opportunity remains to develop a heritage-focused destination at RAF Scampton.

Our aim is to educate visitors and promote physical and mental well-being. The park will feature smaller-scale sports and activity facilities such as climbing walls, extensive green spaces for walking, cycling, dog walking, and outdoor yoga classes—amenities designed to serve both the local community on a daily basis and visitors from further afield.

Crucially, the park will also connect visitors to RAF Scampton’s rich history through a dedicated Heritage Park, preserving and sharing the important stories that deserve to be told.
